Lives and works in Copenhagen (DEN)

Kirkeby is one of the most famous Danish painters and sculptures. In addition to painting, watercolors and graphic work, Kirkeby also created stage designs as well as bronze sculptures and architectural brick sculptures. He was professor at the Art Academy in Karlsruhe and the Städelschule in Frankfurt. His work can be found in the most prestigious international museums, such as the Tate Modern in London, or in the Louisiana Museum in Copenhagen.
